artist / curator / collaborator
ABOUT ME
I’m an Australian artist, curator and collaborator who has been based in Yorkshire since 2005.
My artistic practice explores aspects of my own childhood which was spent primarily in remote settings across Western Australia. I work with materials such as rocks, sand, dirt, sticks and found objects. I take an instinctive approach and like to embrace a childlike sense of play within the making of my work which can take on the form of sculpture, installation, drawing, photography and film.
I deliver a range of cultural projects and have worked with clients including National Trust; The Mercer Art Gallery, Harrogate; S1 Artspace, Sheffield; Leeds Playhouse; and The Old Parcels Office, Scarborough. I write a monthly column called Snooping Through Studios for The State Of The Arts, was the Director of an arts venue in Leeds for five years and founded the Leeds Summer Group Show in 2015 which I continue to curate on an annual basis.
In 2022 I launched The Art Court here in the North to sell, source and commission art for public and private settings.
I studied art and design in Australia and did an MA in business in the UK. With a background in curation, art, design, marketing, fundraising, sales, events and partnerships, I take a holistic approach to project management. I love collaborating with passionate people to make great things happen. If you’re interested in working together, please feel free to get in touch.
