This exhibition was commissioned to mark the 50th anniversary of Leeds Playhouse and to celebrate its re-opening after lockdown. Drawing on the Playhouse’s archive the exhibitions shares the story of the theatre, from its beginnings, when it was set up by the people of Leeds, to the one of the country’s leading producing theatres we have today. The exhibitions highlight the people, the places, the shows and celebrates memorable events, the theatre’s links with the community, and will tour local community venues in 2022.
